You may see other NHL positional models similar to the ones posted here and see that the rankings may differ in places. The reason for that is that I, among other factors, adjust the players’ positions inside the data to reflect their true position. Often, raw data, for example, will list a significant number of players as a center (C) when they are actually playing left wing (LW) or right wing (RW).
Take the positional rankings with a grain of salt to start the season, as there have been numerous roster changes for teams throughout the offseason.
